Colleen Stone Named Director of Content for NJ.com and SILive.com
Feb 09, 2010 - Jersey City, NJ - Colleen Stone has been named Director of Content for NJ.com and SILive.com. Stone previously held the position of Managing Producer of NJ.com and SILive.com.
The appointment, which is effective immediately, was announced by Barbara Chodos, General Manager of NJ.com.
"Colleen's leadership at NJ.com and SILive.com has been integral to record audience growth last year" Chodos said.
"I am excited to continue working closely with the staff at our sites and our newsrooms in this new role" Stone said. "We've collaborated to grow our audience tremendously and engage our users wherever they are. We are well positioned to continue the trend and I look forward to doing so together."
Stone joined NJ.com and SILive.com in 2006. She has worked closely on a daily basis with the sites' affiliated newspapers, including The Star-Ledger and the Staten Island Advance, to plan and implement online coverage and promotion of breaking news and special events. Since joining NJ.com and SILive.com, Stone has led the implementation of a significant redesign of the sites and implemented, in close collaboration with all of the sites' affiliated newspapers, a major upgrade of the sites' publishing tools and community features.
Stone began her career as a freelance reporter for the Daily Hampshire Gazette in Northampton, Mass. She next joined MassLive.com in Springfield, Mass., as an associate producer. Before coming to NJ.com and SILive.com, Stone was a content producer for MaineToday.com, the Web site affiliated with the Portland Press Herald in Portland, Maine.
