John Jackson Named General Manager, OregonLive.com


Advance Internet, Inc. announces general manager for OregonLive.com.

Jersey City, NJ, January 28, 2010 -- John Jackson has been named General Manager for OregonLive.com. Jackson previously held the position of Vice President, Digital Solutions for The Detroit Media Partnership.

The appointment, which is effective immediately, was announced by Peter D. Weinberger, president of Advance Internet. "John is a proven sales professional whose skills and enthusiasm will drive OregonLive.com to new levels of success," Weinberger said.

Jackson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from The Ohio State University and later served in the United States Marine Corps. Jackson previously held positions at The Augusta Chronicle, the Small Business Administration, Coca-Cola and Catapult.
